Fanatical Teacher
There are three things that Fanatical Teacher loves to do for the rest of his life — teaching, traveling and writing!
He graduated with a bachelor’s degree of Library and Information Science at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City and has managed to survive the corporate world working as a librarian, archivist and even an executive assistant. Fanatical Teacher saw these as stepping stones in his quest to become a writer, and his biggest break came because of lounging inside the library. At the Filipinas Heritage Library, Fanatical Teacher met The Source, who happened to have a small production/advertising company of sorts. After several chitchats, The Source discovered that Fanatical Teacher’s greatest passion is writing, and so got the mobile number and promised to contact him if ever a project comes up.
Although Fanatical Teacher was skeptical about it, he gave his number anyway. He has had his share of people who promise to contact him but never do. So to his surprise, The Source called up Fanatical Teacher for a research and writing project — the anniversary coffee table book of Splash Corporation’s Breaking The Glass Ceiling were Fanatical Teacher worked at internet cafes right after his day job at the law office during the time. After much thought and prayers, along with some encouragement for key friends of from The Shrink, Fanatical Teacher took a leap of faith on becoming a freelance writer/researcher.
Currently, Fanatical Teacher is grateful for good writing breaks, having been able to do research and writing for Nestle Philippines and even a little work on SGV. He’s hoping to add more into his portfolio, and he is specializing on health and wellness research after his exposure to the Wellness Campaign of Nestle Philippines.
Fanatical Teacher is best at doing online research, and having access to online databases normally not accessible to the average internet user. His skills were honed by his training in library science, and is grateful to be among the 5,000+ licensed librarians of his country.
His hobbies includes collecting comics, of which his favorite at the moment is FABLES written by Bill Willingham. He is a reluctant exercise fanatic, as is needed because of his titanium implants on on of his knees. Fanatical Teacher also teaches part-time at a local college of nursing in Santa Mesa, and is finishing his thesis in graduate school. He is presently 28 years old, and wishes to travel and see the famous painting of Rembrandt’s Return of the Prodigal Son, which is at the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia. A dream he plans to do for his 30th birthday celebration.
